The Holzer Clinic Sports Medicine Team is a multi-disciplinary group of highly trained physicians.

Director of Holzer Clinic Sports Medicine Services; Dr. Roush directs Sports Medicine services at all Holzer Clinic locations and organizes sports medicine contractual agreements with area colleges and high schools, organizes Team Physician coverage and serves as a mentor for athletic trainers in Gallia, Mason, and Meigs counties and helps establish Sports Medicine practice in other counties. Dr. Roush is a certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, Certified Athletic Trainer, and she specializes in the treatment of sports, work related, and automobile accident injuries. Dr. Roush has been employed at Holzer Clinic as a Chiropractic Sports Physician for 11 years. Dr. Roush initiated the Saturday Sports Injury Clinics at Holzer Clinic and hosts these clinics in the fall at the Sycamore Branch of Holzer Clinic. She serves as Team Physician for hte University of Rio Grande and Meigs High School. Dr. Roush has trained Olympic athletes and elite runners. She treats NFL, College and athletes of all ages. Dr. Roush received her Doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA

Dr. Ramsey is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and practices in Holzer Clinic’s Athens branch. Dr. Ramsey is the team doctor for Federal Hocking football, men’s and women’s basketball as well as Athens soccer. Dr. Ramsey has had experience treating many types of athlete, including; elementary school football and basketball, professional golfers, high school, college and Olympic athletes. Dr. Ramsey’s training includes: Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College, Davenport, IA, Sports injury and Rehabilitation Extern, Palmer Clinics, Davenport, IA, Preceptorship at the Kaufman Clinic, Bothell, WA, Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, Palmer College, Port Orange, FL.

His treatment techniques include chiropractic adjustments to the spine and extremities, various soft tissue techniques, neuromuscular re-education, taping, bracing and custom made orthotics."

Dr. Majoris is a Chiropractic Physician and Certified Athletic Trainer. Dr. Majoris serves as a mentor to local area high schools in Charleston, West Virginia. Dr. Majoris came to Holzer Clinic in 2009 after owning a practice in Pennsylvania for 5 years. Dr. Majoris received his Doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA.

Dr. Economides is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. He serves as Team Physician for Wellston High School. He has been serving the Gallipolis, Athens and Jackson areas since 2002. He received his Doctorate from the University of Athens School of Medicine in Athens, Greece. Dr. Economides enjoys tennis and raquet ball. He is an FAA Avation Examiner and Commercial Pilot.

Dr. Popper is Director of Occupational Medicine and specializes in treatment of work related injuries. He is Board Certified in Preventative Medicine and Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He serves as Team Physician for South Gallia High School. Dr. Popper has been serving the Gallipolis and Jackson areas since 2003. He receved his Doctorate from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, IA.

Dr. Mansfield is a Family Practitioner at Holzer Clinic Meigs facility and serves as Team Physician at Eastern High School. She has been serving the Meigs County area since 1995. She received her Doctorate from the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.

Dr. Broy is a Board Certified Family Practitioner at Holzer Clinic Athens and serves as Team Physician at Athens High School. He received his Medical Education from the West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, WV. Dr. Broy has been serving the Athens Area since 2004.

Dr. Canady is a Board Certified General Surgeon at Holzer Clinic of Gallipolis and serves as a Team Physician at Gallia Academy High School. He received his Medical Education from Bowman-Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC . Dr. Canady has been serving the Gallipolis areas since 1995.

Dr. Fisher is a Board Certified Family Practitioner at Holzer Clinic of Gallipolis and serves as a Team Physician at Gallia Academy High School. He received his Medical Education from Southern Illinois University in Springfield, IL. Dr. Fisher has been serving the Gallipolis area since 1997.

Dr. Blevins is a Board Certified General Surgeon at Holzer Clinic of Gallipolis and serves as a Team Physician at River Valley High School. He received his Medical Education from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, OH. Dr. Blevins has been serving the Gallipolis area since 1998.

Dr. Heiser is a Board Certified Family Practitioner at Holzer Clinic of Jackson and serves as a Team Physician. She received her Medical Education from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, OH. She has been serving the Jackson area since 2000.

Dr. Haupt is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon at Holzer Clinic of Gallipolis and South Charleston and serves as a Team Physician at the University of Rio Grande. He recieved a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.  He obatained his medical education from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN and his orthopedic training at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH.  He also serves as team physician for the WV Power the Class A affiliate of the Pittsburg Pirates. Dr. Haupt has been serving the Gallipolis and South Charleston area since 2008.

Dr. Newbold is a Board Certified Emergency Medical Physician at Holzer Clinic of Gallipolis and serves as a Team Physician. She received her Medical Education at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Dr. Newbold has been serving the Gallipolis area since 1992.

Dr. Rubley is a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician at Holzer Clinic of Jackson and serves as Team Physician for Vinton County High School. He received his Medical Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. Dr. Rubley has been serving the Jackson area since 2000.
