Holzer Clinic received an exceptional overall patient satisfaction score in a recent survey conducted by the American Medical Group Association’s (AMGA) Patient Satisfaction Benchmarking Program review of more than 17,000 providers nationwide conducted in December 2009.

A remarkable 74 percent of Holzer Clinic patients surveyed reported their overall visit as “excellent” – the highest rating on AMGA’s five-point scale placing it among the very best healthcare providers in the region. This compares to the national average of 63 percent and the Ohio healthcare provider average of 65% of patients who rated their overall visit as excellent according to the study. An additional 26% of those surveyed rated their overall Holzer Clinic visit satisfaction as “very good” or “good” with 0% indicating a rating of “fair” or “poor”– again well above averages. In fact, Holzer Clinic as a whole rated higher than both the national and Ohio averages in all 11 categories of patient satisfaction including length of time waiting in the office, technical skills of the provider, personal manner of the provider/nurse/receptionist, explanation of procedures, and convenience of the office location.

Holzer Clinic is especially proud of their physicians and staff who consistently strive for perfection in patient service and quality healthcare. Identifying and addressing patient needs to ensure they are receiving the personal care and attention they deserve has become a standard. With 86 percent of patients surveyed stating they would “definitely recommend” and the remaining 14% stating they would be “likely to recommend” Holzer Clinic to others based on their overall experience; this integrated, staff-driven effort has proved successful.
