March 24, 2009, Gallipolis, OH - The Holzer Clinic Board of Directors announced that
Todd Fowler, CMPE will assume the position of Chief Administrative Officer.
Fowler, a 16-year employee of Holzer Clinic, served most recently as Associate Administrator with
oversight of both the Jackson and Athens, Ohio based Holzer Clinic facility operations. In addition to
his most recent position of Associate Administrator, Mr. Fowler previously held the positions of Recruiting
Coordinator and Human Resources Manager of Holzer Clinic. His appointment as Chief Administrative Officer
became effective Monday, March 16, 2009.
“Steady leadership is crucial in guiding any entity through the difficult economic climate we face today.
Mr. Fowler has demonstrated proven and effective administrative skills leading our operational departments
for many years,” said G. Patrick Connors, CEO of Holzer Clinic. “He is well equipped to meet the challenges
of the future and I look forward to the opportunity to work with him in this new capacity as a member of our
senior executive staff.” Connors added.
Mr. Fowler is a 1981 graduate of Gallia Academy High School in Gallipolis, Ohio. He earned his Bachelor
of Arts in Communication Arts/Public Relations from Ohio Northern University in 1985 and his Masters of
Business Administration from Wright State University in 2000. In addition, Mr. Fowler achieved the Medical
Group Management Association’s designation as a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) from the American
College of Medical Practice Executives in 2004. He is a member of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association
as well as the national Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), serves on MGMA’s Government Action
Committee for diagnostic imaging services and currently serves as President of the Ohio Medical Group
Management Association.
“For nearly ten years I have had the pleasure of working in operations with our physicians and staff
who serve our patients. Aside from being a great experience, I gained an immense appreciation for those
working the front line of health care,” Mr. Fowler commented. “This knowledge will be valuable in my new
role as Chief Administrative Officer.”
As Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Fowler will assume oversight responsibility of all administrative
capacities including risk management, recruiting, human resources, business development, marketing,
education, communications, medical records and the ambulatory surgery centers.
